How it Works

Reading a green shouldn't be a mystery. With the G Meter, it isn't.

The G Meter is a compact, patented device designed to help golfers quickly and accurately measure green speed and slope—giving you the confidence to make better putting decisions, every time.

Follow these three simple steps to put the G Meter to work:

Step 1: Set It Up

Place the G Meter on a flat section of the putting green. Make sure the device is level and facing in the direction you want to measure. No tools, batteries, or calibration required.

Step 2: Drop the Ball

Release a standard golf ball from the top of the G Meter’s groove. The ball will roll down the track and across the green surface based on the current green speed.

Step 3: Observe and Analyze

Measure the distance the ball travels from the end of the G Meter to where it comes to a stop. A longer roll = faster greens. A shorter roll = slower greens. Want to test slope? Repeat the roll from different angles to understand how slope impacts ball movement.

Why It Matters

Reading green speed and slope correctly can easily save you 3 to 4 strokes per round. The G Meter gives you a portable, affordable, and easy-to-use tool to help you:

  • Master green speed
  • Understand slope direction
  • Make smarter putting decisions
  • Lower your overall score

No Guesswork. Just Results.

Whether you're practicing or playing in competition, the G Meter gives you actionable data in seconds. Lightweight, durable, and incredibly easy to use, it’s a must-have for any golfer serious about improving their short game.
